NASCAR and hot rod car cultures are deeply interconnected, sharing roots in early American auto enthusiasm and evolving alongside each other. After World War 2, driven by a booming American love for automobiles, early hot rod builders used the performance of NASCAR “stock cars” as a benchmark for their own creations, aiming to replicate that go-fast technology in their garages.

So at Forty Hammers, we had to toss up a Chevy C10 muscle truck with an American flag to honor where it all began for NASCAR. We are thankful.

The Forty Hammers Script Logo Unisex Hoodie in black is now available at Tillys.com in sizes small through 3XL.

This photo was taken at which is one of our favorite intermediate tracks, meaning it’s 1.5 miles in length. This track has 20-degree banking in the turns, so the drivers can hammer down on that throttle longer making this a scary fast track. Vegas has been known to create exciting races and is a favorite among the drivers.

If you have never been to a NASCAR race but have been thinking about going one of these days, we highly recommend Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The entire property is beautiful, and every seat in the grandstands has an amazing view. Upgrades like their Neon Garage and Blackjack Club are worth every penny. And it’s Vegas! There’s plenty to do before and after the race. Shows and concerts are always cool, but if you’re looking to mix it up next time, pencil this one in when planning your next Vegas trip.
