We took a little trip up to Tennessee to Ardmore to Dog Days big Labor day Flea market. It was so hot. Lots of cool stuff to see. My advertising loving heart was happy. The prices ranged from a fantastic deal to full blown way above retail. We did walk away with quite a few treasures. We left there and went to Mildred's Restaurant. If you are ever in the area stop and eat. Country cooking buffet. The catfish is amazing. Then we decided the day was young let's find an estate sale. So we went to Fayetteville Tennessee to half price day at the sale. Greg dug up some good finds in the outbuildings. A customer told us about Bell Buckle, Tennessee. This is the cutest little town with amazing shops. We were able to stop in at several different ones. Livery Stable Antiques was our first stop and it did not disappoint. We walked away with a bag full of smalls. (My absolute favorite) The award for the most amazing displays has to go to Phillip's General Store. You don't want to miss this one. I took several pictures for inspiration. As far as pickin for the booths goes we definitely didn't fill up the truck but we will still do good. The adventure was worth every penny and every mile. It was a packed house at Tucker Auctions, LLC tonight. We didn't get to stay long. Greg has to go in to work really early in the morning for a little while before we head out for our next adventure. We were successful in getting his sign. This one is definitely not for sale and will be staying with us.

Wow it was HOT out there today. We definitely put in the work to bring out the treasures. It was another fun digging sale. Peddling Post thank you for another great estate sale. Jeff, Rhonda and John y'all knocked it out of the park like always. I'm so thankful to have Mom out pickin with me during the week while Greg is at work. The extra hands make these hauls possible.

Last but not least our booth at Sweet Pickins in Alabama got a quick little update. I don't have enough vintage Halloween to stock all of our booths so I saved it for this one. Also if you need any wicker pieces these 4 pieces are bundled together for a fantastic deal. 128.00 for all, the chair, hanging shelf, lidded hamper and small trashcan. Our booths at The Olde Marketplace in Sylacagua, Alabama got some much needed love today. I love fall colors. I jumped right past Halloween and brought in the Thanksgiving treasures. Whew that was a lot of Alabama backroads. We went to Lineville to Old School Antiques, (seriously the cutest old school house) Wedowee to the little flea market, Piedmont to a estate sale. While in Piedmont we went to 's on Main, The Old Gallery and Hwy 278 flea market. Found a couple of road side sales along the way. Ate amazing brick oven pizza from the food truck outside of the Lake Wedowee Winery. We stayed the night at The Old Waters Inn. (Our second time. The place is older but don't let that scare you, the rooms are so clean updated and adorably decorated). We found a good bit and had a blast hanging out and meeting new people along the way. Have you go on any pickin adventures lately?

As most of you know we live in sweet home Alabama and travel around our great state trying to find out of the way antique shops and pickin places. Smaller cities, locations that may not be on our radar. If it is in the Birmingham metro area or a bigger known shop we have been to it. Please give us your suggestions for off the beaten path spots.
