Today was a blast. It was my sister's Fostered Vintage birthday so of course we spent the day going to estate sales. Mom, Brandy and I filled the 4-Runner up with some great finds. The geometric quilt is hand stitched and so bright and beautiful. Vintage Christmas is always a yes. I'm keeping the Tom's advertising chip display. Perfect for displaying ephemera.

Only hit one yard sale close to home yesterday and came home with all of this. It was a very good day for sure. The duck picture is one of my favorites from this haul. The electrified oil lamp is gorgeous. So many fun salt and pepper shakers. The antique milking stool is a great old piece. The type trays are going to The Olde Marketplace on Tuesday. The duck picture and lamp are going to Yellowhammer Antiques tomorrow.

Rain, rain and more rain, that is what we've had in central Alabama the last week or so. Mom and I decided to venture to North East part of the state yesterday to a couple of estate sales. We were able to stay out of the rain until the ride home. The haul isn't huge but the finds are pretty good. That vintage trashcan made the whole trip. I also love the old Amish buggy sign. They always say buy the weird stuff, weird stuff sells. But I also say if the price is right buy the dirty, looks like it can't be revived stuff. This beautiful small fishbowl planter was outside the estate sale yesterday. Covered in rust like stains. I picked it up to inspect and the stains started rubbing off with my finger. So here she is in all her glory after 10 minutes of scrubbing with a bleach cleaner. She is ready for the booth. Talk about a glow up.

The trinket shelf station in our front booth at The Olde Marketplace is restocked and ready for you. I did have a half size printer tray available but it sold before I even left the shop. Lots of adorable mini tea set pieces to choose from. Those gorgeous small paper quilling art pieces are so good.

It is HOT here in Alabama so the pickin has been a little difficult. I admit I'm stubborn and don't slow down much until my body makes me. (Like when I overheat and have to take a few days off) You also get creative and start finding inside sales and auctions to go to. Even though it was difficult we ended up with some pretty cool pieces. It was definitely an architectural and building salvage type of week and to tell the truth I'm not mad at it. What do you do to keep cool while pickin? Are those neck fans worth it? Of so give a girl some recommendations.
