The afghan I made a couple years ago popped up in my memories and I had to share. 🩷 I had such a great time making all these little granny squares in honor of my own Granny. I lost her when I was a little girl but one of my favorite memories is sitting next to her while she crocheted footsies for all us grandkids. She’d make us popcorn and we’d watch tv and solve the world’s problems together and she’d always let me eat as many lemon drop candies as I wanted, if we kept it a secret. 🤭 Gosh I miss her, I often wonder what my life would have been like if I could have sat next to her longer? I know for sure she’d be pretty proud of me for teaching myself to crochet!

If you are lucky enough to have your Grandma around make sure you appreciate that, give her a call or a hug today and tell her I said hi!! ❤️

Can you believe we are already over half way through our Sewcialites 3 weekly sew along? This week we make the Split Star Block designed by and I shared a very non-traditional approach to flying geese on my YouTube channel, I would love for you to come check it out!! 😍

It’s Picnic Perfect, don’t you thing?! 🤔

Last year my besties and I started a Facebook group called the Block of Friends so we could all share our handmade projects, pictures, and laughs all in one place. Then we decided to invite everyone to join us, the more the merrier 😍!

It’s a great place to host “Block Parties” (aka Sew Alongs) and you should totally join us too!

This is the very first block party we hosted, the Potato Chip Block Party! My friend Karen Renz made this one with Rainbow Sherbet fabric and then I just did the longarm quilting with a panto called macaroni, how cute is that?!

Happy Friday!! I am loving seeing everyones Sewcialites3 blocks, so much talent in this group! I'm sewing mine two ways, and I'd love you to come join me as I sew blocks each week on my YouTube Channel. I already made my 3" blocks with Wild Honey for Fat Quarter Shop so towards the end of the sew along I will put them together into a small quilt and Kimberly will show it finished on Livestream. Then, I am also making blocks with Sunday Brunch fabric each week on camera and those blocks will be turned into small projects. I made pincushions on my channel a couple weeks ago, and soon I will begin a fun handbag with the others. Here are my blocks so far.

This week I’ve been hanging out with my favorite farm animals, and I have to show you! My friend Delfina made both of these perfect barnyard beauties and as usual she outdid herself!! ❤️ Both are patterns and fabrics and both got the chicken wire panto designed by my friend 😍Also this panto is the very best, and easiest chicken wire you’ll ever find, so hop over to her Esty shop and add it to your library 🐓 🐷 🐄
