Whoever wore them rode hard enough to wear the leather soft — you can feel it in the grain. I couldn’t let that history disappear, so it became the accent on this piece: an indigo cowhide handbag built on a bridle strap, hand-forged brass hardware and leather from century-old chaps stitched in as the finishing detail. Old world meeting new — a wearable piece of someone else’s story, now carrying yours.
I only made a few, and with 4 days left in the festival, stock across the booth is getting low.
