Just a frisbee toss from our store is this gem, Kapalua Bay.

An excellent aerial panorama of Kapalua Bay on Maui, Hawai‘i. It was a cloudy day, but the bay still shows off its classic crescent shape, turquoise water framed by tropical greens, with Napili Bay to the right and Namalu Bay just beyond the point. Calm surf, clear snorkeling, and one of the most inviting beaches on the island. 🌊🌴

The Norfolk pines that line the hills above Kapalua have a unique history. Norfolk pines were first introduced to Hawai‘i by Captain Cook, who believed they would make ideal ship masts. They grew tall and straight, but too quickly, becoming brittle and ultimately unsuitable. The pines in Kapalua were planted later by Dr. Dwight Baldwin, adding a distinctive silhouette to West Maui as the age of sail faded away. 🌲⛵
