Hello My friends...
I WISH I was back here to tell you I was starting up my shop again and getting ready to design some new dresses. BUT it is just not time.
Scott (hubby) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer Terminal Back in July of last year (2023). By the time it was found it had metastasized to is bones, fracturing many and eating away at several.
In this year he has had two hospital stays (one recently with double pneumonia) ... he has had a titanium nail inserted down through his femur bone. so many cycles of radiation, countless chemo treatments, many blood transfusions and the cancer , we discovered in February, has gone to his brain.
He is currently, actively receiving chemo every week, but it has taken it's toll. He is 86 pounds and spends a good deal of time in bed watching old tv shows.
We continue to pray for a miracle, And know that he already IS a miracle, as nothing in his diagnosis says that he should still be walking this earth with us.
He is my full time concern.
I do have an etsy shop that I started a year ago March (before things happened). It is mostly PDF downloads and it is all about savings challenges and savings games. AND I have a Youtube channel Both things take up time ONLY when I want to, whereas the dresses... took up time to get those orders out.
That shop BTW is Fairyrosecottage.etsy.com
Will I return to All Dressed Up Couture?? I believe so, but I have no timeline as I am doing what I need/want at this point and that is to be with Scott.
This business was everything to me and you(my customers and faithful friends)are dear to my heart. I assume I will need to have a "job" again in the future, so time will tell.
You will see , occasionally, that I am selling off certain things... supplies, extra tutus, fabric etc. BUT I have decided to keep the supplies needed to make all my best sellers... for now.
I have loads and loads of Disney fabrics to sell. And lots of other "stuff".
Please let me know how all of you are doing. I love hearing from you. I MISS YOU! ❤
With Love and Gratitude, Denise
