I know there’s been a lot of question as to what’s going on with the store. I’m still questioning everything myself every single day. Over the last several months, maybe even year, a decline in sales and increase in everything else, has slowly caused this next move. As I find the right words to make this post, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love for every single customer and social media supporter that has cheered us on throughout this journey. To our community—I thank you so much for giving me this opportunity and allowing me to serve you for over three years. I don’t think this is the “end” for Chicot Casual, but I do have to say goodbye to our beautiful storefront and the ability to see you guys in a face to face aspect. As of this moment, I’m unsure what the next phase for the store is, but I feel in my heart it isn’t over for good. I have to take a step back and refocus for a little while, but stay tuned for what the future may hold. So, unfortunately, the storefront is closed, but I will be up there periodically to sell what inventory is left and fixtures over the next month. I hope this gives answer to most of your questions and concerns. I truly have missed seeing everyone and will miss every aspect of the business I built from the ground up. I love each of you and, like I said before, am utterly grateful for every single one of you. I wish the best of luck to all new businesses in our town, and still want the absolute best for our community and its people.
Love, Jacob and family.
