Today’s shirt is a Simply Southern... size LARGE, 100% cotton, and this thing came out beautiful.

It features the huge Simply Southern sea turtle graphic on the back, and I hand-dyed the entire shirt using a more non-traditional dye pattern. Bright pinks, purples, turquoise, orange and yellow all crashing together... one shirt, one dye job, and there will never be another one exactly like it.

And the price?

ABSOLUTELY FREE. $0.

First person to claim it gets it. ❤️

There’s just one catch... and it’s the whole reason we're doing this.

When you come pick up your shirt, bring something non-perishable for our local senior food boxes. One can. A box of pasta. Peanut butter. Rice. Cereal. Ten cans. A hundred cans. Whatever you're able and willing to give.

There is no minimum beyond one item. This isn't about what somebody can afford to donate. It's about a bunch of us doing a little bit together.

We're collecting these items to build emergency food boxes for local senior citizens who simply don't have enough food or enough support. I'll be adding fresh meat, bread, vegetables, fruit and other necessities to what we collect.

I get to introduce people to what we're creating at Shade Tree Supply Co.
Somebody gets a one-of-a-kind shirt for free.
And somewhere down the road, a senior citizen gets a box of groceries when they need it.

One shirt. One can. One community taking care of its own.

Then Shade Tree Supply Co. will match what our community donates, and everything will go toward helping local senior citizens who could use a little help keeping food on the table.

Could be vintage.
Could be Liquid Blue.
Could be Harley-Davidson.
Could be something we made ourselves.

You won’t know until we post it. 👀

Here’s the deal:

👕 We post the shirt.
🙋 First person to claim it gets it.
🥫 In exchange, we simply ask you to bring us at least one canned good or non-perishable food item.
❤️ The shirt costs you NOTHING.

Every shirt we give away will have a value of at least $20... and some will be worth considerably more. So while we're only asking for one food item, if you're able and feel like bringing a few more, please do.

Because this really isn't about trading groceries for T-shirts.

We're trying to fill some boxes.

Everything collected will be used to put together food care packages for local senior citizens who may be having a difficult time keeping enough food in the house.

We could sit around and try to come up with the perfect Whiteville T-shirt ourselves…

But where’s the fun in that?

We want YOU to help us create it.

Shade Tree Supply Co. is putting together a brand-new WHITEVILLE TEE, and instead of us deciding what it should say, we’re turning it over to the people who actually live here.
