I love them all for different reasons which is why I’m subscribed to each platform. None of them do it all and picking my favorite one would be like picking a favorite child.

End of summer dressing doesn’t have to mean immediately reaching for sweaters and boots. You can stretch your summer wardrobe a little longer. You just have to shift the styling.

A few easy ways to do it: keep wearing your summer dresses, bring in more texture, let your accessories change the mood, slowly work in darker colors, and most importantly… dress for the actual weather, not the calendar.

Pink fever, check mate, sheer layers, moody bohemia, faux fur, texture, equestrian-inspired pieces… fall 2026 is giving us A LOT to play with.

There are plenty more pieces on Rent the Runway that fit these trends, but these are the ones I found that I’d actually wear myself because what’s the point of a trend forecast if we can’t make it our own?

And that’s exactly why I love renting trends. You can try the look without committing to the purchase. Wear it, style it your way, decide if it feels like *you* and send it back if it doesn’t.

Basically, test drive the trend before you give it closet space.

The easiest way to make your summer clothes work into fall? Don’t change the clothes, change the accessories.

A few easy swaps:
• Summer sandals → loafers, boots, or a closed-toe shoe
• Straw/canvas bag → leather or suede
• Delicate summer jewelry → chunkier metal, mixed textures, or layered pieces
• Bare legs → add sheer socks, tights, or eventually a great pair of jeans/pants
• Bright/airy accessories → deeper, richer tones like burgundy, chocolate, olive, or rust

You really don’t need a whole new wardrobe every season. Sometimes it’s just about changing the supporting cast.
