We work closely with underprivileged women in India, providing them a stable work environment, and income, and in return they produce beautiful handmade items; clothing, accessories, and home décor. After production our Lush items are carefully packed, and shipped to to the Uni

ted States, where we employee underprivileged women, single mothers, and refugees to work in our first state side office in Lancaster, PA. Our vision is to run a successful e-commerce store, and fashion truck that inspires customers to shop/wear consciously, which in return will support local, and international women. We aim to please our customers, but more importantly we desire to make a positive difference in the world (and fashion world). Each product has a story to tell, a story about women who are empowering themselves through fashion, and in inspiring others with fashion, and these stories need to be told, and worn. For others to see the difference we can make in this world if we connect, support, empower, inspires, and believe in the positive difference our actions can make. Going back to the source & to a vibrant and diverse culture….My Culture

The art of Kalamkari started in my home state- Andrea Pradesh in the same town where my great-great grandparents were from and their ancestors as well…
A once vibrant port city and hub for trade, Kalamkari prints made its way around the world, France. Netherlands, Persia and England. The artisans put their hearts and souls into creating the prints by hand carving reel wood blocks and creating all the dyes from natural materials, such as wood, indigo and flowers. The prints have a more Persian influence due to trade. To think how important my culture and state was to trade for textiles makes it even more important for me to honor the works, and to use the art in a way that others will also honor it.

Kalamkari prints takes days to create. Thir form of printing is the most sustainable form of textile print design. From the very beginning India has been a beacon for trade, textile and art and I hope to continue that legacy. With the new designs and collection.

These textiles are more than just art, they are life, culture, heritage and history.
