This week at Badges of Honor, we’ve been working on a new series of Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue-inspired station shirts.

We created updated logo-style designs that keep the look and feel of the original station artwork, while cleaning them up with smoother lines and a sharper shirt-ready finish. Each design is made to celebrate the personality, pride, and character of the individual firehouses.

The collection includes shirts inspired by several Ft. Lauderdale stations, including Station 2, 3, 8, 13, 16, 29, 35, 46, 47, 49, 53, and 54.

A portion of all shirt sales will go to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

These are unofficial designs and are not endorsed by Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue. Some creative liberties were taken while recreating and updating the station-style artwork.

Before and After… or as we like to call it: “We promise there was a logo in there somewhere.”

Some of the artwork we receive is grainy, faded, blurry, tiny, crooked, or looks like it has survived three scanners, a photocopier, and a flip phone camera.

But that’s where the fun starts.

Our artists take that rough source material, clean it up, sharpen the details, rebuild what needs a little love, and work hard to keep the original look and feel intact.

Because the goal isn’t to turn it into something totally different. The goal is to bring the original back to life — just with clearer lines, better detail, and a lot less “what am I looking at?”

We know we’ve been slacking a bit on social media lately.

The truth is, we’re old firefighters, and this whole posting, sharing, liking, tagging, algorithm-chasing thing can feel like more work than pulling a ceiling at 3 a.m.

But we’re going to try to do better.

We appreciate everyone who has stuck with us, followed along, paid attention, and supported what we’re doing. Thank you for staying with us while we figure this out.

More posts are coming. Probably. Hopefully. As long as we remember the password.

🚒 The overhaul is almost done… and we’re getting fired up!

We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes cleaning things up, making improvements, and getting ready to roll out some brand-new designs.

Coming soon: fresh FDNY-inspired shirts, including Brooklyn fire station designs that bring company pride, tradition, and firehouse spirit front and center.

Thanks for hanging with us while we finish things up. The new look is almost ready — and the new designs are going to be worth the wait.

Subject: Important Update: Transition to Online Store Model

Dear Valued Customer,

Five years ago, Badges of Honor merged with AOK Trophies, and the integration was a great success. However, shortly thereafter, the impact of COVID-19 significantly changed the landscape of our industry. Sports leagues and award ceremonies were put on hold, and as the world gradually returned to normal, many customers shifted from in-person purchases to online platforms like Amazon. Additionally, sports leagues increasingly moved toward rings and medals rather than traditional trophies.

Throughout this time, we faced rising costs and increased overhead, with some supplies becoming twice as expensive. Despite efforts to reduce expenses, including adjustments to staffing, the challenges became insurmountable.

As a result, we have made the decision to close our physical store and return to an online-only business model, effective December 31st, 2024. While we will no longer be offering traditional trophies, we will continue to provide the same services we have always offered, with the exception of trophies. This includes our personalized items, medals, and rings, among other award products.

Our process remains the same: most of our customers prefer to email or call us with their orders, and that will continue. Once the projects are complete, we will arrange for delivery or shipping, ensuring that our customers receive their orders just as efficiently as before.

Please note that we are not closing our business, but rather adapting our operations to better align with current market demands. Our move will begin on Saturday, December 21st, and we will resume production on January 2nd.

Thank you for your continued support and trust in Badges of Honor. This transition is a necessary step to ensure we emerge stronger and more agile in the future. We look forward to continuing to serve you with the same dedication and quality you’ve come to expect.
