In this day and age, it is rare for a local shop like Shades of Time to survive in the retail business. During our 30+ years in business, Shades of Time has not only survived; we have thrived.

I’d like to take credit for it, but in reality, it is you – my loyal customers – who deserve the credit. Because all of you came back time and time again to buy from us, because you made us your one and only choice for sunglasses, because you sent your friends and family to us, because your dubbed me “The Sunglass Guy,” my little ol’ shop on Ocean Avenue grew year after year. I will be forever grateful to all of you for choosing Shades of Time for your patronage year after year. 🙏🏻

As happens with so many good things, it is time for this one to come to an end. I recently made the very difficult decision to close Shades of Time. While it has been an incredible pleasure to serve each and every one of you throughout the years, I have recently faced some difficult personal challenges and need to focus on my health and well-being.

I will forever be thankful for your love and support over the years. While I will miss welcoming you to my store, I cherish the fun and friendship that was always in abundance at Shades of Time.

A Special message to my many loyal customers and friends that have followed me and my antics over this he 30+ years that we’ve done business together -

Reading my posts recently you’ve noticed that I’ve been “under the weather” a lot lately -

Well I’ve been checking out what going on and my Drs have figured it out and put together a treatment plan -

The upside is that the prognosis is totally positive 👍 -

The downside is that as a result of the treatment and Drs appointments my schedule will continue to be erratic -

Im so very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you
And will continue to cause until the process is concluded -

In the Meantime if you do wanna catch me - while I can’t give you a schedule - if you call and I’m there come on in to say “Hey” and I’ll give you my best deal on your favorite pair of Polarized Sunglasses 🕶️

And / or if your driving by and the Shutters are Open - the same applies -
