Anyone that knows me, knows I love Oprah! She said “surround yourself with people who are going to lift you higher.” While I doubt she intended that for businesses selling costume jewelry and accessories, it has served me well in opening this store. In 2009 we opened and to be honest we had no idea what we were doing. Fast forward 8 years later… 2 shops, 1 corporate office, creation of our own private clothing label and just this week launched an e-commence site. I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing but I have surrounded myself with people who have lifted me and this business higher. You will start to see better photos on Instagram and by better, I mean we had a real photographer taking pictures. But because I enjoy wine and carbohydrates, you will not see me model the clothing. However, we have local friends, moms, and women who range in age to show case the items. We are not shopbop -- we’re two moms in our late 30s (that hurts to type that) & one post grad in our office messing around with a website. And there isn’t a coder amongst us. Despite a few glitches, we have had some orders and we excitedly sent them out today. While we are proud of this venture into e-commerce, we want to remain a brick & mortar retail destination where you can still get free gift wrapping, the best customer service, and very well curated selection of items at what we think are value priced.
