I have always believed in helping others when ever possible. I felt I had to work harder then some and have worked for years to build my business and advance in my art/craft as much as I can. Because I believe in giving back within your community, I have spent the last 10 years donating my time to a charity close to my heart - March of Dimes. As much as I loved the people I met during that time, I
also wanted to do something more than take pretty pictures for donation. During those years I also confirmed that I truly love photographing senior portraits and working with teens. I love the age of discovery. These young adults are trying to figure out who they are and what their life means to them and will be. In talking with teachers, parents and some of the most driven and charitable teens in our community, I have learned that there are a lot of teens in Las Cruces that need our help. In the 2016-2017 school year alone there roughly 175 9th-12th graders sleeping on a friends couch, or worse. This isn’t even taking middle school age kids into consideration. As a community we are really good at helping babies, young children and families when it's time to go back to school or for the big holidays. But I have found our teens seem to be skipped over a lot of times. I want to change that. We need to change that. We will host different T Shirt | Item Fundraisers because those items continue to give... you get something for your contribution. Something to wear or use proudly. We are donating 10 % of all sales to help homeless and couch serving teens in our area. I will also be working through out the year to help in additional ways, for tangible daily items they need that you can purchase and donate to the right local resource. I appreciate your patronage. ~ Wendy Ewing
