Hello friends!
A few changes coming to The Spice Rack!
First of all, wow, I am so grateful that my little store has received so much support over the years.
I honestly grew so much faster than I thought! Along with that comes some growing pains! I have been working through a few things the past few months. When I first opened and through my first couple years, I was receiving some steady custom herbal orders, but now that I am more established, I am receiving probably 30x the amount of requests than what I started with. Herbal formulas are 100% formulated and crafted by only me. My amazing employee does so much to help me,but it is only me that formulates.
I also opened The Beetle & The Book a couple of months ago. That put me behind on orders, and I am working as hard as I can to catch up with those. I have been trying to find a system that works well for me, and I think I finally have.
With all that being said, if you have ordered a custom formula from me and haven’t heard from me, please message me! Please don’t leave a comment because messages are easier for me to track. I am worried that I may have misplaced some of my order sheets or that I may have been waiting on specific herbs to arrive to complete the formula.
Also, I will be closing my books at the end of the week to prepare for the Peoples Festival at the end of September. This will also give me time to finish all of the orders on my list. If you have been meaning to put in an order, please do so before end of day on Saturday because I won’t be opening my books again until October.
When October comes, I will also start charging a deposit for custom orders. This is something I have been wanting to do for a while because I have had an increase in customers not picking up their orders. The deposit will go towards the total cost of the formula. These are custom orders so if they aren’t picked up and paid for, most times I am completely out of the money and time that was put into making those. This also means that my customers that are amazing at picking up their orders are waiting longer for their order because several people ahead of them had an order made that was never picked up.
