I taught a private smocking class tonight. It's been a long time since I've taught. It felt really, really good. She's coming back next week for another class. Yeah!

I've been making nursing covers with coordinating burp cloths. I make mine wider to give mommy and baby more privacy (26" long x 41" wide). There are 2 pockets sewn on the inside at the bottom corners for Binky, burp cloth, nursing pads... I'm trying some fun baby prints. The sets will sell for $30. I'm listing patterns in my etsy store. I'm trying to clean out my stash of unused items. Today it's patterns for 18" dolls. I'll be listing smocking patterns too soon and other patterns too.

Working feverishly on Hannah's Easter dress. New customer coming tomorrow afternoon. Sewing area looks far better than it did yesterday.

I just spent about 2 hours setting up my etsy shop for The Unique Needle. I have 1 item listed. LOL I'm listing a couple of patterns tonight. I'll figure out how to link the shop to Facebook tomorrow. I spent the whole day sewing. Got a few things finished and other things in process.

Worked on lots of burp cloths this weekend, many have a Jayhawk theme in case anyone is interested. They are diaper service quality diapers with fabric trims &/or machine embroidery. I can add names or monograms too. If you want a special theme or design let me know. I'll be happy to work with you on it.

Fabric for Hannah's Easter dress arrived and tomorrow I'll cut it out & get started. Can't wait, it's the softest color of yellow in a light weight cotton blend batiste. The smocking will be in a soft pink. She'll look adorable in it.

Business cards or ordered, it took me forever to make up my mind as to what to put on them. This first batch is just to have something to give out. I'm going to ask Eric to design something a little more professional...that will come in time as he is super busy.
