10 years ago, I took a leap of faith and opened the doors to my very own brick-and-mortar business. No loans, no safety net โ just a teaching contract that went unsigned for the upcoming school year.. and a new mom with a sewing machine. I was simply hopeful to make enough to justify being a work from โhomeโ mom. Today, Iโm celebrating a full decade of stitches, late nights, dream dresses, happy tears, and the incredible communities that have supported me every step of the way.
My brick-and-mortar: Her first five-and-a-half years, residing as โString Attachedโ on Falls Street in Jonesboro, AR and now as Blunt Needle Sewing Co in the historical, downtown district of my hometown of Leachville, AR โ right on Main Street in a dreamy 1910โs vintage storefront.โค๏ธ๐งต
To make this milestone even sweeter, Blunt Needle Sewing Co was recently voted Best Alterations in the very first year Jonesboro Premiere Magazine introduced the Alterations category! ๐
This is such an honor! And I was in complete shock when Premiere came into the studio to present the award โ I had no idea Iโd even been nominated or that alterations had been added as a services category. Love this! & such a hard secret to keep! ๐ฅนโค๏ธ THANK YOU!
Iโm beyond grateful for every client who has trusted me with their special moments over the last 10 years. Thank you for believing in me, supporting small business, and helping turn a dream into something bigger than I ever imagined.
Hereโs to the next chapter! โจ
