I'm working on some *very* limited upcycled clothing designs that I'm hoping to have ready by the ren faire I'm doing in Sept (highly doubt they'll be ready for the faire at the end of this month...).
I've been nervous to do clothing, because there's such a push to always be size inclusive, which I'd love to do, but at the moment, I'm working with items I can get for the prices I can currently afford, using thrifted and clearanced pieces.
If I wait til I can afford buying things in every size, I'll never start because I need to make some kind of money before I have the funds for that. It's a vicious cycle...
Of course, I was about to take these off the line, and the rain cut loose, so drying will take a little longer. I was outside in the rain and could literally wring water out of the clothes I was wearing 😆

I think they're adorable...
The bead holds the whiskers more firmly than just putting them in the jar (I dropped it and none of them fell out), but you don't need to glue them. And because the beads won't be rubbing against anything, the colour will hold. 
Unfortunately, these will also most likely only be sold at in person events due to shipping being more than the cost of the piece.

As lovely as that was to hear, the problem is that I've not sold her at less than half that price, and while a $300 sale would be amazing, I'm really not likely to sell her for anywhere near that (although...if you'd like to buy her for $300, I'll throw in a bunch of extras as well...).
I'm trying to balance making enough to make the work worth it, and actually making sales. Still working on it. I didn't have anyone at Pride whinging about my prices, and actually had several comments about how appropriate or valid my pricing is, but at the same time, sales were pretty low. Which, as a person with financial issues, i totally get.

Forgot to post pictures of the new jewelry racks I got. I think they're super pretty, and they didn't tip over in the wind (only when the booth neighbours kept running into my table 🙄).
I need a few more, but can't currently condone buying more, plus these are *almost* perfect, but I'd like to make a few tweaks, like slightly wider grooves so the chains can lock in better, so I'm hoping to have my Dad help me make a few to my specifications. I'm glad I bought this set though, so I could work out what I like and what needs to be better. I'm slowly working on making my display better, but also trying to be careful about how much I spend on it.
You have to spend money to make money, but my spending money is severely limited.
Lastly, if you see something on here you'd like, feel free to message me. I have another event at the end of the month, so won't be listing stuff til then. But I'm happy to send stuff out now if there's interest. Or even send closer photos and details if you think you may be interested.

Listened to my manic self last night (she needs to be ignored...), and decided I could manage on 1hr of sleep.
I mean, I'm here, but my tent didn't fit in the space, so I was literally dripping sweat to begin with. The scarf helps in the heat as well as cold, so that's nice...
The sun has finally shifted though, and I'm in the shade now, which is great.
However, manic me also didn't eat, so we're gonna see how today plays out 😆 Come visit and bring me a slushy before I pull a Frosty and melt...

The "Love" keychain is one I actually managed to make for Pride. I have a few little similar keychains that I'll have available.
I doubt I'll list them for sale online, as shipping would cost as much as the keychain, but I may have them available as an add-on if you're buying something else.

I was so excited to share this bracelet that I made for Pride.

I was stoked that my Faerie Lights bracelet had the perfect number of beads to do a rainbow and I was gonna offer preorders..

But while I was making the chains for them, I wore the first one and after a while, the colour on the beads starting wearing off where they rubbed against the chain. It seemed at first like the solid colours were gonna be fine, but they just took a little longer to start wearing.

It seems like a little thing, I know. First world problems, right? But it's just one more thing in a ridiculously long line of "just one more" things. I was just so happy to get these beads and add some colour and uniqueness to my work. I had a lot of design ideas coming up and I'm genuinely kinda heartbroken over it. I can't afford to keep testing new beads, so for the time being, I can't find a replacement. I am gonna test the beaded fidget necklaces to see if they last, because the beads don't rub against the chain, so they may be ok. We'll see.

It's really taken the wind out of my sales. I have 3 events I've been accepted to, including one this Saturday, and I just can't find the energy to care.

I have been trying so dang hard and failing even harder. And this month, my hours are massively cut for some unknown reason, and I've not been asked to cover any days for my coworker, plus taxes are due, and I'm generally f*cked.

I'm hanging on by my fingernails right now and they're not gonna last much longer.

Time to set up the page for my handmade birthday gift exchange if it's gonna happen this year, so I wanted to suss out interest.
For folks who haven't been involved before, I use Elfster to assign exchange partners. It's not a chain letter type thing, it's more like a secret Santa, where you get assigned a person to give a gift to, and someone else gets you. So you send 1 gift and receive one gift.
For this one, the gifts need to be handmade. You can add non-handmade things like books, notebooks, candy, tea, etc, but the main part of the gift needs to be handmade. You aren't crafty, that's fine, you can buy from someone who does handmade goods. But you need to have it sent to yourself so you can add a card or wrapping or some personal touch, instead of just having it sent straight from the maker to the recipient.
Anyway, if that sounds like something you'd be interested in, let me know and I'll set it up.

It took a little wiggling around and changing out rings/positions/etc, but it was well worth it.
