Today is a "no agenda day"
We don't have many of these, because I like to keep busy, but these days are important too.
This week I resurrected a project that is always on mind to finish.
After my grandmother passed away, I acquired her wardrobe. After cutting everything apart I was able to make a lot of blocks, I made things for my cousins, an entire quilt for an aunt and always expected I would make myself a quilt.
Life gets busy and I would put it off, etc.
I pulled it out and got to work this week.
I remember my grandmother used to crochet the most beautiful dollies(she took time to teach us all to crochet).
Thinking back, I can remember multiple times when she would find a mistake and pull apart a large portion of her project, sometimes almost starting over.
So when I found a mistake in my quilt, I took it out. This is 100% not my personality. If it is hard or is inconvenient I often move on or quit.
Grandma is still teaching me things all these years later.
I recently finished a book called, mindset. It is certainly worth a read and goes along with this quilt situation. My grandma had a growth mindset and was willing to take the steps to be successful. I have a tendency to be more of a fixed mindset.
Not work related, but these are tools I hope will make my business and the products I make even better.
