We are thoroughly enjoying Key Largo!

Sun, sun and more sun plus lots of wind!

That wind isn’t helping with the containment of the wildfires nearby so prayers for the locals would be appreciated!

Today at 3pm we’ll take a boat tour through the Everglades, which was on my wishlist for this trip, but before that, as we do with all of our traveling, we will visit another thrift store in the area.
Already found some treasures yesterday at one of the places we found….stay tuned 😉





We left Christ Community Church (Harvest Host location) in Toano, VA.They had a short, sweet lil’ loop on their property...

We left Christ Community Church (Harvest Host location) in Toano, VA.
They had a short, sweet lil’ loop on their property that had a neat box with a cross on it…naturally had to open it and inside was beautiful Bible ❤️❤️ (pics attached)

Had a nice chat with the pastor before we hit the road.

Today was a 5hr driving day ending at The Fox Swamp Campground in Florence, SC.

An hour left of driving and I stopped for a restroom break which meant I needed to turn around and get back to the highway. Welp, couldn’t make a left like I needed because of a median so I popped into a Chik Fil A parking lot which, as it turned out, only had one way out…imagine, if you will, going left to right—the drive thru with a 9ft covering on my left-then a curb-then us with our 32’ motor home and Jeep SUV in tow-then on our right 3 parked cars two of which are Chik Fil A’s catering vehicles.

Can’t make it through without clipping the drive thru cover which is 9’ high and we are 13’ high and math says it won’t work out well.
I don’t remember these types of word problems in math class.

Can’t swing to the right to miss it, remember those parked cars.

So, John slides out and hobbles into the store and these young 20 somethings come out and move the catering cars and SAVE US.
Good ole’ Chik Fil A 💕

On the road again with less than 10 miles to go and I was cruising in the right lane as slower vehicles should, right? Plz say yes 😉
As it happens, the right lane turned into a lane for those who WANTED to go on Rt 20.
I cruised right off of I95 onto Rt20…😂

3.5 miles down -3.5 miles back and we finally pulled into our camp for the night.

After all the set up was done including the added bonus of a toilet glitch causing an overflow~you can’t make this stuff up~we headed to some much needed showers and are settled in for the night.

**Only one picture for today’s adventure at arrival because I was driving today and I am the picture taker. 😉
