Would you just look at this cutie pie!!! I took her momā€™s gorgeous gown and turned it into a Christening gown!

Now this mama had FUN on her wedding day and the bottom of her gown proved it!! So first I gave her dress a good cleaning and it came out beautiful!

Then I had a blast creating this adorable gown with design details that mirrored the original, like the intricate bodice lace on top to the bow and buttons running down the back!

What a pleasure it was to work with to create this heirloom dress for her sweet little girl!! And these professional portraits by are absolutely stunning!!!

Hi! I'm Marianne and I'm the owner of Fleurette Bridal Alterations. I love transforming garments and helping people feel their most confident in a perfectly fitted outfit. Helping brides feel beautiful on their special day is the absolute best!!

I started sewing when I was 10 and have been in love with it ever since! Silk ribbon embroidery and historical costumes are just 2 of my favorite types of sewing! And bridal, of course!!

A few random facts about meā€¦

I love British Period Dramas (the costumes!!!!) and reading Historical Fiction books! Specifically WW2 historical fiction! If itā€™s got a woman on the cover wistfully staring out a window or doorway, Iā€™ve probably read it or itā€™s in my queue!

A true fairytale wedding! The tiara and veil, heirloom gown, gorgeous flowers and even a castle! ā¤ļø

This was truly a labor of love as this sweet bride is also my daughter!!šŸ„°

First we refashioned this 73 y/o gown worn by her mom (me!) and her grandmom (my mom!) and turned it into her dream dress! That whole process deserves itā€™s own post, so stay tuned!! But the hand appliqued bodice with stunning lace from was pure perfection!šŸ”„

Next we made the custom veil in the perfect blush color and matching lace to the gown!

Oh! And 23 years ago I made the bride too!! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚Sarah truly looked like a princess!
