Part 1
Many of you know that I have had my Healing Gemstone Jewelry in Trackside Studio in the River Arts District. RAD was devastated by Hurricane Helene and very few artworks were recovered. Very few. Those artists lost everything. My heart breaks just thinking about the lost art and those artists who made it. I am fortunate to be working with such good people who helped save my jewelry. As you can see in the 2 photos there was so much damage to Trackside, and I didn't know if my jewelry pieces would survive the ordeal. But after a lot of work and effort, remarkably they did.
When I finally got my jewelry back it was badly tarnished by the contaminated flood waters. So, I had a choice to make as to whether to melt the jewelry pieces down, just trash them, or to try and revive them. I realized it would take a WHOLE LOT of work to revive these creations. But as I reflected on what to do, it became clear to me that these pieces were just too special to ignore. They had SURVIVED! I had to try and save them. I could not do anything with the pieces for weeks as I walked around like a zombie like everyone else around me affected by the tragedy of the storm. As I started to return to my body, I could hear the jewelry calling to me. :)) I started to clean one piece and after hours of detailed care, the cleaning worked! The earrings I was working on looked like new. I was ecstatic and inspired to continue the restoration project for other salvaged pieces. I now have eleven jewelry pieces restored to their original form. I'll get more done soon.
I call these pieces my "REGENERATION" Series. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, they have emerged reborn. I don't feel that I can put them in shops because they are so very special. Aside from the gemstones and their natural healing properties, these pieces are infused with the energy of "survival" and "regeneration". Literally. They feel so special to me.
So I'm going to sell them here, on Facebook, to all my friends and family. Each photo you see will have a number and a price and description when you click on it. I want them to go to a person who can understand how special they are, so I'm reducing the price they originally were making them affordable to anyone who feels moved to buy one. I recognize that I cannot get back the time and effort I have put into these pieces but it is more important to me that they find a good home with someone who will appreciate them and all they represent and have gone through. I cannot pay for shipping them and that will be added on. I would let you know how much that would be.
If you find something you want, claim it right away because that's all there is. Let me know by listing the number of the photo. This post is already long enough so I'll start listing jewelry pieces in Part 2 soon. Please feel free to share this post.
Thank you all so very much for being part of my life. mwah!
