At the age of 10, my meme introduced me to knitting and crochet. I immediately fell in love with the process, watching a simple ball of yarn transform into various

shapes with just a hook or needles. Now, years later, my passion for these crafts has only grown stronger. Each time I sit down to knit or crochet, it feels like a therapeutic escape from the chaotic pace of daily life. As one enjoys creating, seeing others appreciate my work is an added bonus. In 2023, I launched my Hugs for Heads business as a tribute to my dear friend Denise who passed away after battling cancer for years. During her hair loss journey, she struggled to find headwear that made her feel confident and beautiful. That's when I made her a hat that became known as "My Denise". Her smile said it all - she felt pretty again. My goal with this collection is to bring comfort and joy to anyone facing illness or simply looking for something special to wear. A portion of all proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass in loving memory of Denise Downes♡ & Virginia Tocci♡

This gorgeous white crochet top was a custom order for a family friend, and I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! She wanted a cover that was pretty and light to wear over a tank or over a bathing suit. 🧶🤍

Let's just say she loved it! Check out the beautiful open-work stitch and the way it drapes perfectly. You can also see how great it looks from the front (and that happy smile!) in the mirror reflection in.😍

Yarn, looped by hand. Cooled slow. 🧶

Every loop in this hat was pulled one at a time. Hours of quiet work at the studio, until the texture started to feel less like fabric and more like something carved out of the yarn itself.

Then I set it down on travertine, and the conversation got interesting. Stone veining, stitch ridges, same family. Both shaped slowly, both holding the marks of how they were made.

Handmade is a slow language. I'm just here translating, one stitch at a time.

Two people stopped me before I even made it to the door. 🌸

Both wanted to know about the sleeves. Cream crochet florals stitched onto soft pink, catching the light like little bouquets every time I moved my arms. I honestly didn't expect to have a sidewalk conversation about petals that morning, but here we are.

This blazer took days to finish. Every flower hand-shaped one petal at a time, every stitch placed with intention. It's the kind of slow, quiet work that only really shows itself when someone stops you mid-step to ask, "wait, did you MAKE that?"

Turns out it doubles as a compliment magnet. Apparently, literally.

Every granny square in this poncho was hooked by hand, one at a time, over the course of a very cozy weekend at the studio. Hours of slow, happy stitching went into it.

The black fringe? Pure boho magic in an ocean breeze.

Salt air, warm sand, and something handmade. Summer has its own uniform. ☀

One of my favorite messages popped into my inbox this week: "Round one of your works at the beach and I have not taken it off all day. From the beach right to dinner!"

That's exactly the life I pictured while hooking every stitch of this open-knit cover-up. Hours of slow, quiet work at my studio table, one loop at a time, until it became something you can throw on over a swimsuit or pair with sandals for a sunset dinner.

Each pink ribbon charm was placed by hand, loop by loop, at my studio table in Leominster 🎀

The wooden bead head, the feathery skirt, the tiny ribbon tied in honor of Denise Downes. None of it came off a machine. It came off my hook, one slow stitch at a time, while I thought about the people these little angels are made for.

Every angel carries a story. Someone in treatment. Someone holding a hand through a long afternoon. Someone who just needs to feel held.

A portion of every angel goes straight to the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass, so the next person who needs a hug gets one too 🧶

Third beach day this week. Same cover-up. Still earning compliments before she even hits the water 🌊

There's a reason this one keeps getting reached for. Every loop was slow-stitched at my studio table right here in Leominster, in a soft cotton that drinks up the breeze instead of clinging to sun-warmed skin.

Watch how the open-knit hem catches the wind. Machine-made layers don't move like that. They just sit. This one breathes, drapes, and shifts with you, salt air and all.

Sunscreen, two peaches, a paperback, and yesterday's sand still in the bottom seam.

That's what's living in this bag right now. The Desert Dream Macrame Tote, tied knot by knot at my studio table in Leominster.

Cream cotton cord. Diamond stitches all the way down. Fringe that swings a little when you walk, in the best way. I added a drawstring liner inside too, so peaches (and paperbacks, and stray seashells) actually stay where you put them.

Every knot in this one was pulled by hand. No two totes ever come out exactly the same, and that's kind of the whole point. 🧶

One top. Nine ways to see it.

Look close and you can count the hours. Every openwork stitch on this airy summer cover top was hooked by hand in my little Leominster studio, one loop at a time, until the whole thing finally took shape on my hook.

The cotton is light enough for a slow beach morning with coffee in hand, and structured enough to throw over a swimsuit and walk straight into an evening breeze. It holds its shape. It moves with you. It carries the weight of slow work, even when it feels weightless on your shoulders 🧶
