Life update and announcement!!
This is one of those posts I’ve rewritten more times than I can count and really dont want to do.
After a lot of thought, prayer, and listening to my body, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Oak & Main due to ongoing health issues. This decision is truly bittersweet. I feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to open this little shop and to share it with such a supportive, kind community.
For those who may not know, I also work in education, another job that fills my heart and currently requires more of my time and energy. I wish I could do both, but my body is telling me it’s time to slow down and rest. Getting my health back on track has to be my top priority.
Oak & Main was never about “getting rich.” It was a creative outlet for me, a labor of love, and something Alan and I genuinely enjoyed building together. While we still love it, our lives have shifted in different directions, and we simply can’t give the shop the time and care it deserves.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who walked through the doors, shopped small, shared kind words, and supported this dream. This chapter is closing, but the gratitude I feel will always remain.
