I love old beehives, and collector that I am, I find ways to nestle them into my vintage decor - they go under cloches, in jars, bowls. And I love bees, I am always so happy to see them buzzing around the garden. Until recently. We found out the hard way that our sweet rescue pup Emma is highly allergic to them when her face began to swell after a day of gardening. She had other symptoms so we called the emergency vet and they had us come right over. She was in anaphylactic shock & we had no idea she had been stung! Turns out sweet Emma thought the bees would be fun to catch in her mouth & that’s where she was stung. Now bees & I are still fine, but Emma is not allowed to roam the gardens without strict supervision! 🐶 🚫🐝
