Throwback Thursday! Reflecting on your childhood, was there something in your home that ignited your curiosity, yet was deemed untouchable?

I remember going to my grandparents house feeling like I was in a treasure trove and wasn't allowed to touch anything. Everything was breakable and back then Capadimonte was what my grandfather collected among other things. I like to touch and enjoy my things, and I often wonder what stories they hold. I would have loved if he shared the history and significance behind his collection, and what it meant to him. I do think I picked up his love for vintage and antiques 🥰What was the 'hands-off' item in your household while growing up?

Let's start the week with a little memory.

Do you remember going into someone's house when you were younger and seeing something that just stayed with you? For me, it was plastic on the furniture and a plastic mat over the carpet. We had that in my home.

There's nothing better than trying to take a nap on the couch as the plastic cuddles your body while you sweat in the middle of the summer months 😆

Sunday feels like the perfect day for slow looking.

I love finding little pieces that make a home feel collected instead of decorated. A pretty frame, an old-world print, a pitcher and bowl, a stack of books, a piece that reminds you of your grandmother’s house or a room you once loved.

That’s what I’m always drawn to. Not just “things,” but pieces that bring a little warmth, memory, and romance back into a home.
