Maternal Sepsis Awareness Week is a reminder that not all maternal health complications are visible — and some can become life-threatening very quickly.

Maternal sepsis is one of the leading causes of maternal death worldwide, yet so many families have never even heard the term until it impacts someone they love. Awareness matters. Education matters. Listening to mothers matters.

If you are pregnant or postpartum and something feels “off,” you deserve to be taken seriously. Trust your body. Trust your instincts. You are not overreacting by asking questions or seeking care.

To the mothers carrying trauma from complicated births, medical emergencies, NICU stays, or being dismissed when you knew something wasn’t right — we see you. Your story matters. 💜
