Fresh finds, fresh faces, and a market full of treasures

Every Phase Vintage Market brings something new to discover, and June’s market was one to remember.

The morning couldn’t have started any better—beautiful weather, busy market, and the kind of joy that only comes from finding something truly one of a kind.

Lincoln showed up early and showed out, and we loved seeing so many people supporting local vendors, artists, makers, and sustainable shopping.

While the rain eventually brought the market to an early close, it couldn’t take away from what was an incredible day.

A huge thank you to our amazing vendors for rolling with the uncertainty of Nebraska weather and helping make the event such a success.

Thank you to everyone who came out to shop, explore, and support our local creative community.

It’s your support that makes each market possible, and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again.

I think this might be one of the coolest vintage tags I’ve ever found.

But that’s not what drew my attention.

I picked this up for the color.

That soft teal. The subtle acid wash. The material —somewhere between sport and lounge but in a way I couldn’t quite place.

It’s been in the shop for 6 months—and I’m honestly surprised no one tried it on.

This is Leggoons — a surf and streetwear brand founded in 1983 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Yes… Nebraska.

A landlocked, midwestern state producing bold, graphic, beach-inspired clothing—competing with brands like Ocean Pacific at its peak in the late 80s.

But the real story is this tag.

Not just a logo—
a scene. A mood. A little piece of nightlife fantasy stitched into the garment.

“Cool Wear.”
“Never kiss on the first date.”
“Don’t wear this in dark alleys…”

It’s witty. A little unhinged, and completely intentional.

There was a time when even the label had personality—
when brands didn’t just sell clothing, they sold a feeling.

I noticed that right away—but the more I learned, the more it stuck with me.

(And after sitting in the shop all this time, my husband tried it on and immediately bought it.)

This is the first post in a series exploring vintage tags—
the ones that feel more like art than branding.

Because sometimes the most interesting part of a garment
is the part no one sees.
