Bittersweet news… Anne is moving on to continue her optometry journey, and while we’re so excited for her next chapter, we’re going to miss her more than we can say.

From being an incredible tech, to the creative mind behind all of our posts, Anne has poured so much time, energy, and personality into Capital Eye Care. Every Keep’n it REEL Wednesday you’ve enjoyed, she made that happen. 💗 We’re so grateful for everything she’s done and the impact she’s left on our team and our patients.

Staff Spotlight Saturdays ✨ Meet Jean Jergensen ✨
We’re thrilled to spotlight Jean, one of our incredible Opticians here at Capital Eye Care! 👓❤️
Jean, also known as Jeannie, grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and attended UNL. She’s been in the eye care field for about 15 years, and her passion for opticianry is deeply personal—she’s worn glasses and contacts since she was 11 years old, which sparked her drive to help others feel confident and comfortable in their eyewear. Jean joined the Capital Eye Care team in July 2024, and we’re lucky to have her.
Her favorite part of working here is our fun patients and staff, and she can’t live without her family, coffee, and friends. Jean’s music taste depends entirely on her mood, she loves almost everything and has way too many favorites to count. In her free time, she enjoys vacationing, spending time with family, and crafty projects, especially making jewelry.
When it comes to movies, Grease will always be her favorite. As for pets—she jokingly asks, “Does my husband count?” 😄 This year, Jean traveled on a cruise to Cozumel and Costa Maya, and her favorite colors are blue and turquoise.
A fun fact about Jean: she used to own P.O. Pears. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, because she loves sitting in the dark with only the tree lit. Her favorite subject in school was talking, which anyone who’s met Jean will completely understand. Looking ahead, she hopes to be retired in 10 years and enjoying life to the fullest.
