Patching a patchwork quilt.

My mom made this quilt for me when I was in high school out of my old jeans. It was filled with batting, backed with bandana print fabric, and tied with red yarn. The backing was shredded and the batting was showing, so I took them both off. I’m patching the holes and then sewing it back together with new batting and rag edges. Hopefully it will last another 30+ years.

Look at this texture, it’s sooooo squishy! I can’t wait to share the finished project. One of my favorite things about crochet s that the only way to make a crochet garment is by hand, there isn’t a crochet machine. I like to use it in my collections because it is such a special, luxurious technique.
