Been along time since I have posted lots of things have been going on. I am so hesitant to post now. I will be closing the shop. I need to spend more time with Jimmy, the dementia seems to be taking over we have good days and we have bad ones leaving him home while I am at the shop is not a good idea and for me to take him to the shop to just sit there all day would be unfair and selfish of me. So with that being said I have several NIB christmas trees SEVERAL SMALL and Farmhouse style trees, and other christmas items and at unbelievable prices if you are interested and in need of christmas decorations message me . Thank you for reading

HELLO EVERYONE I have missed everyone dearly. Today I am having the last day of my sale mainly items that were brought into the shop shortly before everyone was closed down my intentions were to go in and sort items out ,however when the siruation happened in Fremont Something told me to immediately close the doors until we find out exactly what was going on. Eventually as you all know everything was closed down, I had returned to the shop thinking well I will get things sorted while this was going on but when my vehicle was there Customers would come , though I loved it I was concerned So I put the signs up never to return. Here is where I am most will think ridiculous thinking but you are not in my shoes. I will be closing the shop I will do appts for people to go in and shop you must however wear a mask. my plan is to have someone allow you in so you may shop I am getting all the bigger items out so only remaining is clothing, most clothing will go for 1.00 excluding all name brand items which will be no more than $5 all the jeans will be $3.00 I do need you to call to make appts because I do spend a lot of time interacting with Jimmy. I will put more on here as days go buy, as you know there is a lot of Halloween costumes I will listen for a dry weekend and bring them home to sell off my drive and yes they will be cheap also christmas I have several New trees and lots of lights and decorations that will be inexpensive for your holidays. There are a few things left at my sale at 230 N.W. 18th until 5 and yes the covid is the reason for my decision. Thank-you for reading, and I enjoyed each and everyone of you

Not going to lie, I have had nothing to say keeping Jimmy and myself busy here at home and I am sorta glad that it is rainy today because there is a lot to do inside. And a lot to do at the shop that is on the back burner cause every time I do go there I get a customer however It is a GREAT THING I get alittle nervous but I love seeing them and Thank God they do understand. I get up every morning telling myself I am on Vacation and only have a week to get the yard ready for Kiyamarie’s Graduation Celebration though that is easy for me it is hard on Jimmy (I hate the disease he is going through and I hate more the virus 🦠 he is afraid of however I too am afraid of it, I think my biggest fear is not just the illness itself but the unknown and being separated for a indefinite amount of time. More and more I find things that both Jimmy and I are not able to really do and believe me I thank God for my girls and my Son in law and those grand children of mine. I watch my little Ava and Maddimoolouwho (Maddison) practicing distance with us Ava says I don’t want you to get Coronavirus I know she is 3 and should be able to say that but it is too cute to hear her, yes she does know we could get sick from it. Well it’s time to get our day started only today it will be in the house, however Breakfast first this morning steak and cheese omelette. 😋
Have a good day and STAY SAFE

I just don’t know! Lincoln is not free to open I just don’t know if I would if we was given the go ahead. A situation that really has me in a funk. But Jimmy and I will get it figured out! But I am enjoying my time with him the best part is we make each other laugh and I mean really laugh. I love that! we have been doing some work in the yard this morning I promised we would fill only one barrel of leaves I just kept rattling on that we managed to do 4 barrels we would have gotten 5 but he caught on🤣😂We quit about 9:30 had some breakfast and he took a nap. He asked me what we was doing tomorrow I told him and he said and that’s it right? Do you know anyone that listens to Audio books if so watch the site I will be putting photos on. Well I guess that’s all I have for now I miss seeing you in the shop ! BE SAFE

Well friends it is Tuesday, weeks since I posted last I am just trying to wrap my head around all that is going on in the world our world. The shop has been closed several days before it was even suggested I have a family and you my friends to worry about, as I have always said MONEY is NOT WORTH JEOPARDIZING PEOPLES LIVES. After watching the news this morning and seeing that a lot of the countries are getting a second wave after giving the ok, I still have my worries. I really do not know what step I will take something I need to discuss with my husband and my daughters. But in the meantime I have Happy news Cat had her babies not sure how many yet cause she is under my bed and Kiyamarie told me to just leave her alone. I have never had 4 legged grand babies before NEVER so I am a little freaked out. Well, I need to get my day started please be safe keep your distance and check on each other (by phone)

Well, this all has been hard and frustrating. I have decided the shop will be closed this week also not happy about it but better to be safe than sorry. I did run to target early the other day Although we are not going to have (as of right now) Easter Dinner at the house I needed to go pick of Easter bunny items for my daughter it’s important to me that things go on especially the Holidays. Last year when they came over (Maddison 6 Ava 3) maddi told Ava your going to love this cause the Easter Bunny stops here too. Anyway yes I am closing this week not sure what the following week will bring. I got so bored today I cleaned my refrigerator and worked in my basement found a lot of things packed away that I am ready to let go of. I hope you will be ready to shop when this is all over. Please be safe

Some info I found:

This explains the Coronavirus Covid-19 in a bit more straightforward and simple terms.
THIS IS VERIFIED

Feeling confused as to why Coronavirus is a bigger deal than Seasonal flu? Here it is in a nutshell: I hope this helps. Feel free to share this to others who don’t understand...

It has to do with RNA sequencing.... I.e. genetics.

Seasonal flu is an “all human virus”. The DNA/RNA chains that make up the virus are recognized by the human immune system. This means that your body has some immunity to it before it comes around each year... you get immunity two ways...through exposure to a virus, or by getting a flu shot.

Novel viruses, come from animals.... the WHO tracks novel viruses in animals, (sometimes for years watching for mutations). Usually these viruses only transfer from animal to animal (pigs in the case of H1N1) (birds in the case of the Spanish flu). But once, one of these animal viruses mutates, and starts to transfer from animals to humans... then it’s a problem, Why? Because we have no natural or acquired immunity.. the RNA sequencing of the genes inside the virus isn’t human, and the human immune system doesn’t recognize it so, we can’t fight it off.

Now.... sometimes, the mutation only allows transfer from animal to human, for years it’s only transmission is from an infected animal to a human before it finally mutates so that it can now transfer human to human... once that happens..we have a new contagion phase. And depending on the fashion of this new mutation, thats what decides how contagious, or how deadly it’s gonna be..

H1N1 was deadly....but it did not mutate in a way that was as deadly as the Spanish flu. It’s RNA was slower to mutate and it attacked its host differently, too.

Fast forward.

Now, here comes this Coronavirus... it existed in animals only, for nobody knows how long...but one day, at an animal market, in Wuhan China, in December 2019, it mutated and made the jump from animal to people. At first, only animals could give it to a person... But here is the scary part.... in just TWO WEEKS it mutated again and gained the ability to jump from human to human. Scientists call this quick ability, “slippery”

This Coronavirus, not being in any form a “human” virus (whereas we would all have some natural or acquired immunity). Took off like a rocket. And this was because, Humans have no known immunity...doctors have no known medicines for it.

And it just so happens that this particular mutated animal virus, changed itself in such a way the way that it causes great damage to human lungs..

That’s why Coronavirus is different from seasonal flu, or H1N1 or any other type of influenza.... this one is slippery as heck. And it’s a lung eater...And, it’s already mutated AGAIN, so that we now have two strains to deal with, strain s, and strain L....which makes it twice as hard to develop a vaccine.

We really have no tools in our shed, with this. History has shown that fast and immediate closings of public places has helped in the past pandemics. Philadelphia and Baltimore were reluctant to close events in 1918 and they were the hardest hit in the US during the Spanish Flu.

Factoid: Henry VIII stayed in his room and allowed no one near him, till the Black Plague passed...(honestly...I understand him so much better now). Just like us, he had no tools in his shed, except social isolation...

And let me end by saying....right now it’s hitting older folks harder... but this genome is so slippery...if it mutates again (and it will). Who is to say, what it will do next.

Be smart folks... acting like you’re unafraid is so not sexy right now.

A few important points to add / update;

(1) It seems to have come from a tick that was found in a bat enclosure in a lab looking for treatments for TB ( which is a real issue in China ) Which had feed off more than one species and then bitten a human. 3 species ( minimum ) were involved and that is the missing info that makes the mutation logical.

(2) Every different racial demographic and climate it goes through it is forced to mutate slightly. Those mutations are almost ALWAYS a weaker version. It is like a 1 in a billion chance it gets stronger.

Eg.... America Samoa Vs Western Samoa 1919 Spanish flu. A-Samoa was run by the U.S. Navy and it quarantined the whole Island off. ( Without getting permission from Washington) Because the guy in charge did not trust the Govt to act fast enough.

30% of Western Samoa was killed.0% A-Samoa

But the virus managed to get in in 1920. But by then it had mutated to a non-deadly strain. People got sick, but not one death. Same race, no deaths.

Same pattern happened globally in other places that had been missed the first time.

(3) So apart from an actual cure being found. Most humans best bet is to just delay getting it as long as possible, in the hopes evolution does its thing and it mutates itself to a lesser form.

Note: Everyone will get it. It is just a matter of when.

Again, not my opinion or my data. Just sharing for thought.

Due to the fact that Phyllis is a bit under the weather I prefer her not to work today, and Jimmy having surgery yesterday (cataracts) and 2 very confusing days prior to today I am not able to open the shop. Hopefully God willing things will make sense tomorrow and I will be there tomorrow. I did have to take Jimmy to the eye dr. this morning and the roads were not bad but stay safe.

Are you as bothered by this Coronavirus as I am? Let me explain myself I know about the flu causing deaths But I also feel if Jimmy or myself get the flu there are several medications to turn too here at home and at the hospitals, However if either of us contract this coronavirus there is possibly nothing that is going to help! this is something I fear the most so I take a lot of precautions (A LOT) here at home and at the shop! I have lots of disinfectant at my reach, I have it available to you on your way in and on your way out, wiping of the door handle will be constant. I will do everything I can to make the shop a safe place to shop. I will consider all Fashion and Treasures customers family, and protecting my family is my #1 goal in life. After all if the shop is not a safe place neither is my home and home is where my Jimmy is and my children and grandchildren visit. Stay Safe and hope to see you at Fashion and Treasures
