Snagged a 3D printer on Black Friday '21 for kicks, ended up launching a tie revolution with my hubby! He rocked them at church, people loved them, and boom - 3DTie.com was ours! Loving this delightful story about Chuck Hull, the father of 3D printing.

In 1983, Hull was working for a small business that made tough coatings for tables using ultraviolet lamps. When he suggested a new way to use the UV technology – to quickly turn computer designs into working prototypes – Hull was given a little lab to play around in during his evenings and weekends. Hull experimented for months, on his own with a plastic-y gloop – then one night, something emerged… “I called my wife. I got a good part and called [my wife] up, got her out of her pajamas, told her to come down to the lab and see this. She said, “this better be good!” He went on to say, “We laughed, we cried, we stayed up all night imagining.” ❤

I’d sure like to send them some ties on us!

Did you know we craft ties in all sizes? 🎨👔 And honestly, they're the most fun when worn by kids! I recently had an awesome tie night with my son and his friends. We held a contest to see who could design our next tie - and wow, their creativity blew me away! 🤩🌟 These young designers might just be the future of fashion!

Did you know the tie has a history as rich as its patterns? 🤔👔 It all started in the 17th century with Croatian mercenaries who wore knotted neckerchiefs as part of their uniform. These caught the eye of King Louis XIII of France, who was so impressed that he made them a fashion must-have, calling them 'La Cravate' after the Croats. From battlefields to royal courts, the tie has journeyed through time to become the sleek accessory we know today.
