Her last first day. 🥹

This morning we recreated the picture from her very first day of kindergarten, sitting on those same front steps with her backpack and that same beautiful smile. And then I drove her to school one last time for a first day.

I’m so proud of the young woman she’s become, but I’d be lying if I said my heart isn’t having a very hard time catching up with the calendar today.

From kindergarten to senior year in what feels like five minutes.

Remember the secretary nobody wanted? Well… here she is after her glow-up. 🖤

She went from overlooked to bold, dramatic and ready for a second chance. I kept the original hardware because those details were too good to lose, and I love how they pop against the black.

My beautiful girl. ❤️

Kind, loving, talented, athletic, smart and so incredibly beautiful inside and out. Watching Victoria grow into the young woman she is becoming has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

I am so proud of her heart, her strength, her determination and all the ways she makes the world brighter just by being herself.

Senior year is here, and I am nowhere near ready for how fast this season is going to go. For now, I’m just soaking in every moment and feeling incredibly lucky that I get to be her mom.

Did I possibly leave the house looking like this? Also yes.

Did I not realize it until I got home and went to the bathroom? Of course.

Just another perfectly normal day being me. 😂

Bonus points: I spent half the day wondering why I had a headache.

Please tell me I’m not the only person who has left the house with something ridiculous still on their head. What have YOU forgotten you were wearing?
