✨If you would like us to put something extra special together for a loved one in your life come visit us a couple days ahead of when you need it ready for, what your budget is and your thoughts on a theme.
I know we can work together to make a beautiful presentation for an extraordinary gift. We can begin with a basket for a base that fits your budget (or you can bring your own basket) and work our way around the theme to fill your basket.💝
Below are some photos for inspiration.

✨Anyone who does these marathons deserves our support, no matter how small. We’ve all lost someone we care about to different types of cancers.
I get emotional about it and how these individuals feel strongly in their hearts to help out…it’s a noble calling.
✨One I appreciate wholeheartedly!✨
✨Please consider donating to help our friend Jennifer Graham on her mission!💕

✨Thank you Jennifer!✨

✨FABRIC COLLAGE CLASS!✨
✨Designed by Emily Taylor of The Collage Quilter.
✨Presented by Betsy Cannan

✨We have a fun class coming up soon on Saturday, June 20th.
You will learn the basics of fabric collage using designer Emily Taylor’s mushroom pattern, small pieces of a variety of fabrics, and a slightly different method of attaching the fabric using Lite Steam a Seam II. There are different ways of approaching fabric collage and every instructor brings their own special tips and experience to the table. This is Betsy’s opportunity to share Emily Taylor’s preferred method with you.

✨You will need:

•Fabric (or fabric scraps) that represent a color scheme you would like for your piece.
You can use our example as your inspiration if you want with a mix of pinks, red, grays and greens. Dig out your scraps! You’ll want around 10 different fabrics for each color you are using.
•Include light colored low volume fabric(s)
for your background and a mix of light, medium and dark fabrics for your mushroom(s). The more pieces the more scrappy and interesting your mushroom(s) will be!

•Time-10am-2pm
•Class fee-$40.00
•Bring a lunch/snacks

•Supplies: Michelle has these at the shop in case anyone needs them:
•Small/medium sharp crafting/sewing scissors (such as Karen Kay Buckley w/
blue handle)
•Small/medium rotary cutter
•Pencil & paper for any notes
•Ultra fine/fine point black marking pen
•Black Frixion pen
•Small cutting mat
•Sewing/craft tweezers
•1 package Lite Steam A Seam II
•Silicone crafting sheet 11x8+ or white or brown parchment paper
•Small ruler under 12”x3”
•Please note; you will not need batting or a machine for this class, we’ll discuss this however.

•Call Sew Chateaux at 207-407-1366 with questions and to reserve your place.
•Located at 8 Oak Street, Lisbon Falls, Maine

✨Betsy, Diane and I are looking forward to spending the day with you!🥰

✨Im having a moment of reflection, thinking back on recent months, the Maine Shop Hop that took place during April, the anticipation of Summer and where we are at as we move into June of 2026. It feels surreal that just over 9 months ago we opened our doors!
Time has flown by!💕

✨It took a leap of faith to jump in with both feet and it amazes me that every single day we still have patrons walking through our doors for the very first time! This is encouraging because as a new little shop there are so many uncertainties; but I am driven by a deep desire to foster in my own small way a destination that is inspiring, encourages creative expression across multiple mediums, offers tools and fine materials that help you and honor your process, and a heart centered hope to do all of this while engaging with other creatives.💕

✨When you walk through our doors we LOVE hearing about where you traveled from, what inspires you, what mediums bring you the most joy to work with, what your challenges are and if we can help you with them, and what you love to make. We especially love it when you share your finished projects with us and when patrons begin sharing with each other, often learning about mutual connections they share!🥰

✨I feel honored to a part of this creative community and your journey!💕

✨Every day I am SO GRATEFUL for YOU and that you took time out of your day to visit and share your creative process with us! 💕

✨Thank YOU for showing your ongoing support and encouragement for our small brick and mortar shop!💕

~Michelle (and Dave and Diane too)

I met this lovely woman and her husband a couple of years ago while she was out shop hopping here in Maine, and through casual conversation found out she is an educator for Handi Quilter and I shared my dream of opening up my own maker shop at some point. We have stayed in touch and she has been very supportive along my journey.
Well, she and her husband happen to be in our neck of the woods (they live in Utah!) and stopped in to surprise and congratulate me! My jaw hit the floor, lol! What a wonderful surprise Kaye, and thank you sew much for your support and encouragement! You are a delight to learn from and I am proud and grateful to include you and your influence in my “toolbox!”

Be sure to follow her on her website, YouTube channel and page for great tips on Longarming, especially with Handi Quilter. Kaye is also a talented pattern designer!
