The Homestead Vintage Collection is live at SinewMoon.com. All pieces, minus one, shown here are in today's release along with many other beautiful garments and home goods. Items will be added to this collection often and on a weekly basis. I will do my best to share here when we add new goodies but in an effort to not be "making content" I probably won't post here often. I've hit my limit with screens, y'all! I'd rather be playing with my kids! Bad for business? Yes! Good for mental health? ABSOLUTELY! Frequent updates will be shared via our email newsletter so if you aren't on the list please go subscribe!

Thank you all so much for the love, support and interest in this new project! I almost didn't post these items to my site at all (and going to a different platform) and all of your kind words have made me so happy that I made the decision to share this special endeavor via Sinew Moon. It can be tough exposing your heart to the masses, completely switching up business operations (and it's not my first time), and being uncertain if your supporters will have any interest. Here's a sneak peak of just a few items available tomorrow in our new Homestead Vintage Collection!

I'm rather amazed at the positive response for the upcoming Homestead Vintage Collection. Thank you all SO much. A really fun aspect of this collection is there will be new items added constantly. We have about 45 pieces hitting the site tomorrow and plenty more to photograph and list. I'm really excited to see the interest beyond clothing.... home goods, children's, etc. (if those are of interest to you drop us a comment and let us know!) Listings are very detailed with a little note of how the item came into my possession, measurements, fabric details and more. If you have ANY questions please reach out via customer support as I will not be spending much time on this platform. Has anyone else gotten SO OVER holding a screen all the time?!

Hey friends. It's been a while ❤️ Over the past year as I leaned into life changes and all the blessings I count each day I realized Sinew Moon didn't feel as good as it once did. For so many reasons, some in my control, some out of my control. It led me to surrender and invite in only things that serve our precious family. I honestly thought shutting it down was my best option and I was at complete and total peace with that. Little did I know God had something much sweeter in store...

Before Sinew Moon consumed my entire life I was an avid thrifter and lover of all things vintage. Even my very first solo business venture when I was 17 was owning my own secondhand vintage shop in Georgia. It's still a secondhand shop.... the ceiling tiles I hand painted are still there and I look forward to taking my children there soon. My career demanded so much of me that I didn't do much thrifting over the last decade. As I stepped away from a very heavy workload for Sinew Moon it opened up some time and space in my life. One day I was going thrifting and my daughter tagged along. I was in complete shock to see not only the interest but also the intuitive skill she had to point out the natural fiber items...with a Mom that is a natural textile professional I suppose she absorbed a lot of wisdom as my children are always alongside me when I'm working, no matter the task.

Our homestead business is gaining momentum, I'm creating the in person community I've so deeply longed for and I'm just enjoying a slow, peaceful pace of life. I've also enjoyed my privacy after being perpetually online for my business for over a decade. I've been terrible at reframing my relationship with technological communication which has surely impacted me in spaces like customer service and social media. Im happy to announce I have an amazing, reliable woman in customer service starting this week. What a blessing. (Continued in comments)

Swipe for a before & after transformation ➡️

I am so honored to have participated in such a gorgeous collaboration with my dear friend Meg .nettle 💕 and so close to her birth portal, too.

I designed this robe for Meg. It was a special process from the moment it began... Not only did it expand my skills as a designer and seamstress but it also felt very intimate. I wouldn’t know why until later.

One year after its debut, I myself entered the birth portal. In my final weeks I had a vision of a printed birthing robe. The print I imagined was not something I’ve seen stamps for so I set out on a new journey and tapped into the beautiful process of stamp carving. It made me feel close to Meg as I admired the journey I’ve watched her on for years, and now it was tangible in a new way for me.

In my final days of pregnancy this robe was sometimes all I’d get out of bed for. I dyed raw silk and sewed my robe. I printed it with ancient fertility symbols. It was the only garment (other than a Bodhi Drip Kimono) that I wore during those final days.

And just as I had imagined, I wore it for those first weeks after birth. 💖 That peice and all its magic will be passed along to my daughter as she experiences the same portal of new life someday.

In what I assume are .nettle 's final weeks before she journeys fully into the birth portal, she had a similar burst and created this incredible version of the robe. This garment symbolizes *so* much as a woman, and as even more as a mother. I am honored to be a part of this evolution, and thank my sister and friend for bringing me along for the ride.

Sustainability begins with simple, everyday choices. And it continues and grows with the realization that perfection is not possible - so that we may have grace for ourselves and each other.

These are some of the ways that I choose a less toxic, more sustainable path for myself and my family.

What are yours?

Many people are waking up to the realities of our food system and dipping their toe into food sovereignty. Many people are choosing fresh spring water over the tap. Many people are ditching plastic where they can. Many people are choosing birth and mothering outside the system entirely. The awakening is happening.

I want to be the gentle reminder in your feed today that the clothes on your back, the fabrics that grace your skin all day and all night, can become part of your low-tox, sustainability path as well 💫

You deserve to know that your body is being clothed and honored by materials from the Earth, that won't harm you or your children.

This is my passion, my heart-work for the world. I'm here for it ☺️
