Hi brides — I’m Michelle 💕

I’ve been doing bridal alterations here in Cache Valley for the past several years, and I genuinely love this work. Getting to be part of such a meaningful moment in someone’s life — and making sure they feel beautiful and comfortable in their dress — is something I don’t take lightly.

Over the years I’ve worked with 300+ brides, and it’s been the most fulfilling career I could have asked for.

I’m excited to share more of it here 🤍

Meet Vanessa in her stunning tea-length gown! 😍

This dress originally had a full-length train, but Vanessa had a vision for a tea-length design, and I absolutely love how it turned out! We also added some custom flutter sleeves.

The dress fit her perfectly! She just needed to have the hem shortened. Lace hems can be intimidating for a bride, but they can usually be altered to look just like they did when you purchased the dress. This alteration is challenging and time-consuming, but it's one of my favorite alterations to complete! 🙌🏼

This is Dominique, and here she is in her absolutely stunning custom-fit beaded gown! 😍

I want to acknowledge that some dresses really do require a custom fit for the bride, as there are only so many alterations that can be made. With this dress and its intricate beaded design, this was indeed the case.

We did need to make some minor adjustments to her straps to ensure a perfect fit.

Dominique originally ordered the dress with no train, so you can imagine her surprise when it arrived with a full-length train! 😱 With no time to order a new dress, I was genuinely relieved to step in and help her shorten the train, alleviating some of that stress.

In the end, the dress turned out beautifully, and it truly looked like such a magical day for her. ♥️

Mistakes can happen with manufacturers; after all, we’re all human. But remember, your seamstress can usually come to your rescue! 💪🏽

One of my beautiful brides ! She was so lovely to work with ♥️

On this dress I brought the sides in and adjusted the straps length and positioning for the most perfect fit! I also shortened her hem and added a 3 point New York Bustle.

She looked absolutely stunning and the pictures came out flawless!

Let’s talk about bustles!

If you are not sure what a bustle is.. it’s a way to strategically tie up the train on your dress to shorten it for dancing and better movement on your special day 💃🏽

This particular bustle is called the ‘ballroom’ bustle. The entire train is flipped inside the dress to create one seamless length all around the hem.

Love a good before and after 😍

This is the beautiful Caitlyn in the Violet by from

This dress needed to be taken in about 4 sizes (I would not recommend but she was on a time crunch!). Changed up the back to an open back and added a French bustle.
