Memory bears have quickly become a fun challenge that I have taken on. The process is fairly simple and the pattern is fun to figure out and improve my skills on. A lot of people ask about my processes.

For a memory bear I typically use 1 adult shirt (Size Medium or Large) per bear. If larger than that more than one bear can be made with one shirt. For baby or infant clothing around 5-6 infant outfits or a combination of blankets and clothing items are needed.

Hello! For those of you that don’t know me or it’s been a while, let me reintroduce myself.

My name is Megan and I live in Central Iowa with my husband Chance, and our son Cash and daughter Maesen. My husband and I both work in the agriculture industry for our full time jobs.

I started quilting when I was 10 years old as a 4-H project. With the help of my friend Trudy I learned a lot about quilting and sewing with project and year of 4-H.

I founded Quilts by Megan Rae in college as a way to continue sewing and continuing the hobby that I love! It has been over 4 years and I have sewn over 100 projects. I love to continue to try new things and take on whatever challenge that my customers bring me.
