This beautiful jade pendant bead has been in my stash for years just waiting to find its proper home. And I think it has in this fun necklace which combines my love of felting, beading and mah jongg. It can be worn short or long.

The Long Beach Open Studio Tour boosts the visibility of Long Beach artists and enhances community participation through its annual artist studio tour. I have been a patron in past years but I am excited to be a participating artist for the first time this year. The tour will be held every weekend in October and each weekend features artists from a different neighborhood.

In celebration of Long Beach Arts Month as well as the National Arts and Humanities Month, your local artists will be opening their studios to visitors for the Long Beach Open Studio Tour (LBOST) during 4 weekends in October.  Each weekend is a different area of Long Beach, CA.

From February 16- 22, 2025 Carneros Studios in Napa Valley, California is hosting a week of fun, creativity and nourishment for the soul and self in so many ways. This all inclusive event is 7 days and 6 nights. I will be teaching two felting classes (a wine bag with a leather handle and a crossbody handbag with a leather cord), on four of the days. Felters of all levels are welcome including brand new beginners.

But this event is about so much more than felting. If you are looking for an intimate, girl's get-away in an absolutely stunning setting, then please check this out.

You will first need to join the Carneros Studios community per the link below. Once you are granted access, you'll be able to read all about the event and register. This event is limited to just 10 participants and includes lodging, meals, wine, felting workshops, all felting supplies and materials, yoga, a wine excursion and so much more.

Carneros Studios in Napa Valley, California is a dream location. I had the opportunity to teach there during a lull in the pandemic and it was magical. Everyone had the time of their lives and we are still talking about it - we came as strangers and left as friends and oh the food, wine, the activities and the setting - all of it is a cut above. The barn is extraordinary and not at all what you picture when you think of a barn. I said I could even live in the bathroom which is huge and gorgeous. The adjacent farmhouse is so tastefully decorated with French antiques and beautiful decor.
