🏆🌍 The Presidents Cup is HERE! 🌟 There’s nothing like watching some of the world’s best go head-to-head in a team format. We are excited to see all these great players tee it up at The Royal Montreal Golf Club.

But here’s something to think about: what is the mindset between amateur golfers and pros when it comes to big events? For the amateur whatever that big match might be for them what is it are they thinking about over every shot? What does the pro think about? Swing thoughts? Shot shape? Any similarities? What are the differences?

Amateurs often focus on avoiding mistakes and managing their nerves on every shot. But the pros? What is their approach to each shot? Do they ever have the same feelings? This is something we can all work on and is a very important part of the game. Makes those pressure-packed moments that much easier when your mind is focused on the right things. What are you thinking about over the ball? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

What a great weekend of golf. Congratulations to for winning the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club.

Reflection Tuesday.
We got in a couple of rounds this past weekend. Scores were not what we wanted but always thankful for getting out with a great group of friends. We had some glimpses of solid golf. Just could not avoid the big numbers. 5 birdies over the weekend so that is always fun. 😀Putting has been a challenge for a while now. We are losing -7.9 to a 0.0-index player. For reference, we are a 12.5. Distance control has been a big struggle for us. The driver was tough this weekend. 2 way misses and just never felt comfortable over the ball.

What is everyone working on? Are you using any apps for shot tracking or strokes gained data?
We were using but Saturday's round had me manually entering shots more than usual. We would prefer something that requires fewer inputs during a round. We have had this problem in the past. We were back to using them for a second time after canceling them a couple of years back. The link system we have is just challenging early in the morning if you have any kind of outerwear on. We love data but we love a round where we can focus and not be distracted.

Comment on what you need to work on and if you are using any apps to identify trouble areas in your game.
Suggestions?

Our focus will be to work on the driver and putter.

Are you ready for the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club tomorrow?
Who do you have winning? Who do you want to win?

It has been 10 years since this Jack Nicklaus-designed course has hosted the PGA Championship.
While some things have remained the same, other things have not. A few years ago, Valhalla switched its fairways from Bentgrass to Zeon "Zoysia" grass. With the "Zoysia," they anticipate the course will play firmer and faster. Of course that will depend on the weather for the next 4 days. As always course setup will put a premium on ball striking and will require precise play. WE LIKE THAT! 😉

We are looking forward to the 2nd major of the year.
