That’s a wrap for the 2026 dance year.
It was a very emotional evening. It was the first Spring dance show since Jaida has been three, that her Grammie Jean wasn’t there. Jaida did a solo and dedicated it to her which was such a big surprise 😭

The dancers did great and it was a fantastic show.

Hi, we are Megan + Maren May ✋🏻✋🏾
Every month (sometimes even twice a month 😅) we get a wellness box delivered right to our door.

Most of the time it’s packed with our everyday essentials like toothpaste, dish soap, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, coffee ☕️

And sometimes I toss in a few “non-essentials” like perfume, mascara, dry shampoo, or collagen powder… okay, maybe those are essentials too 😆

Since then, every month we’ve gained:

I’ve always been a morning person. I love the calm and quiet before the house wakes and the day fills up.

Lately, though, so does Maren. Around 6:15, she comes into my room, full of energy… and if I’m honest, it’s been a little challenging.

But this morning was different.

This morning I realized she won’t always do this. One day, I won’t be the first place she runs to. One day, before I even realize it, the mornings will be quiet again.

So today, I’m holding onto this season a little tighter and embracing it while I have it. 💛

a few more gray hairs,
a few more lessons learned.

A few more scoops of collagen,
a few new skincare routines.

A few more deep friendships,
a few more deep losses,
a few more failures,
a few more successes,
and most importantly so many blessings all around me.

I went to send a text and stumbled across this picture from last night… After softball, Jaida got her new dance costume and when Maren seen it, she went to go try on hers as well… and it made me smile 🤍

I remember when Jaida was little and prayed for a sister.
I remember the day I told her it wouldn’t happen as we were done having babies and how much it broke her heart.
And I remember how she kept praying anyway.

Sometimes I forget just how big God is… and how powerful prayer can be.

Because He did answer that prayer, just not in the way I expected.
He gave her a sister who grew in our hearts.

Complete opposites in every way… but exactly the sister she needed.

11 years apart and exactly how it was meant to be. Beyond thankful for a child’s big prayers!
