We hope all of you are easing into the beginning of 2026 in ways that feel supportive, gentle, and slow.
I headed to the ocean and took some time away from the shop and social media to tend to my own well-being and to honor a much-needed slowdown. As we step back into this space, though, it doesn’t feel right to pretend everything is okay. It isn’t.
Many of you probably already have a sense of where I lean. I’ve always shared openly in conversation, even if I haven’t been especially outspoken or overtly political here. We live in a small town where people hold very different beliefs, and difference has always been welcomed. What’s happening now, however, goes far beyond differing opinions.
Staying silent feels like going against everything I believe. Trying to carry on as usual feels dystopian and dishonest to my own soul.
We’ve done our best over the years to keep this space mostly non-political. But the truth is, spirituality is political. Care is political. Who gets to exist safely and without fear is political. At this point, silence feels complicit.
So I want to be clear. This space stands firmly for humanity, dignity, and the inherent worth of living, walking human souls, no matter where you come from. Full stop.
We are not okay with harm or dehumanization. We do not support this administration, and that is not up for debate. I never want there to be a question about where we stand or what we believe.
I know being clear may mean losing followers or customers in our small town, and I am at peace with that. There is no room for hate in this shop. People matter.
We will continue to do our best to be a light in a very heavy time, rooted in compassion, truth, and courage.
If you’re feeling heavy too and this resonates, stop by the shop for a hug. Chances are, I could use one too 💗
Big Love,
Jen
