Want to know how to be a better designer?? 👇

▫️Know your fabrics and materials you are using. Learn as much as you can about materials and the benefits and disadvantages of each.

▫️ Study trends and fashion history. You might not want to follow trends but it is important to know what they are and what used to be trendy.

▫️ Learn the basics of sewing and construction. Why? Well, you're not expected to sew your own garments if you're going into production, but knowing the basics of how to construct a garment will help you communicate easier with your factory, and it can also spark your creativity knowing the endless possibilities.

▫️Don't limit yourself. Don't just take inspiration from fashion. Inspiration can come from anywhere! Interior, nature, art, movies etc.

Starting your fashion brand is always super exciting and fun!
But after a while, it can get overwhelming and you realize that there were things about the process you didn't know or didn't know was so time consuming.
