The invitation promised indulgence, mystery, and plot twists—and you all delivered.

From the moment you arrived at The White Lotus: Himalayan Heights, the crisp mountain air was thick with something intoxicating—perfume? Power? Secrets? The drinks flowed, the laughter lingered, and somewhere between the first toast and the last course, the plot twisted in ways I never could’ve predicted.

This wasn’t just a birthday; it was a gathering of decadence, wit, and unforgettable conversations. No topic was off-limits, and every guest played along—answering mystery conversation cards, spilling secrets, and crafting their own White Lotus-worthy narratives.

To my incredible friends and family—thank you for stepping into this world with me, for embracing the drama, and for keeping me sane through every twist and turn. You made this weekend unforgettable.

This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate love in all its forms! ❤️ Our film embodies love—love for education, love for empowerment, and love for every girl who deserves the right to learn. Project Runway was more than just a competition for me—it was the first platform that truly gave me a voice. As the first Afghan woman on the show, I wasn’t just creating fashion; I was telling a story—my story. For the first time on national TV, I spoke about my two sisters, about the women of Afghanistan, and about the resilience that runs through us.

I don’t say this often, but I am beyond proud of myself. Those moments on the runway was bigger than me—it was a chance to stand for something greater. And today, that journey has come full circle. With the incredible support of President , both of my sisters are now attending SCAD, safe and free from the Taliban’s harm.

Project Runway Season 19 is now streaming on . Watching it back, I see more than designs; I see the courage, the fight, and the power of using my voice. And for that, I am forever grateful. ❤️

We are beyond thrilled to share the incredible news that “One Step Away” has won “Best War Film” at the 2024 Roma Short Film Festival! This poignant short documentary, which has just premiered in Europe, is now making waves on the international stage. 📽️🎞️🇮🇹🎉✨

At its heart, “One Step Away” a short documentary directed by , tells the deeply personal story of our two-year mission to reunite with my younger sisters, whom I had not seen in over 24 years. The film begins with my own journey, moving from Afghanistan to Pakistan as a refugee, ultimately leading to my adoption and life in the United States, where I pursued my education at .

Two years ago, with the invaluable support of President and her dedicated team, we set forth on this challenging mission to rescue my sisters from the Taliban. This journey has opened doors for them and given them the opportunity to pursue their dreams of studying Architecture at SCAD.

Winning an award at the Roma Short Film Festival is particularly meaningful to us, as it celebrates the talents of emerging filmmakers, actors, cinematographers, editors, and producers. Founded just three years ago in Rome, Italy, this festival has quickly become a platform for underground films that offer fresh perspectives and compelling narratives. We are proud to mark this significant milestone for , celebrating our first year of participation and our exciting win.

As we continue to share our story, we remain committed to making a meaningful impact in the world! Here’s to a brighter future! 🐝❤️

One Step Away chronicles the incredible journey of SCAD alum Sabrina Spanta (B.F.A., fashion, 2016) and how she worked with SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace to coordinate her sisters’ escape from the Taliban in Afghanistan. In the film, viewers will witness the transformative power of art through Sabrina’s story — and the immeasurable hope for a future where women are safe from persecution.
