I used to wonder what I would be doing at this age…what my work would look like/how old I would look and feel. I grew up in a generation that viewed 40 as being so old (lots of over the hill/glass half empty rhetoric,) but the truth is I still feel the same as I did ten years ago…much better in fact! I grew up in a time when women inevitably would “age out” of things, or seemingly become irrelevant as they grew older. A lot has changed since I first began, and I’m grateful to be riding this growing wave of radical acceptance until it becomes normalized and not so radical anymore.

I added the sage green garter strap detail to compliment the natural setting of our show. The color is easily customizable though, so if you are interested in white or any other contrast color detail, just let us know!

Details of the Adorella Body Cage in hand dyed vintage crochet lace. I found a bag of these deadstock rosette bows a few years ago and finally decided to use them. Some of these materials are so precious it’s hard to choose what to use them for. Better to put them out into the world than to keep them to myself though 🎀

Sketches/swatches from my collection for ✍️🪡

Over the years I got to the point where this part wasn’t a necessity for production. If you do something long enough, the process between thought and ex*****on become more streamlined, and certain steps are skipped in favor of time and efficiency (especially when you’re essentially doing it all yourself.)

It has become a necessity for ME though…to feel more connected to the joy in the process, to play and experiment with materials and colors more, and most importantly to simply just draw.

My hope is that the passion I poured into this is palpable for you too. I know I can tell when something is truly made with love, so it inspires me to do the same.

We are a retail space featuring both of our brands, along with our personal curated collections of vintage clothing, lingerie, accessories, and lifestyle goods. Some of my vintage pieces are things I’ve held onto for 20 years back when I was scouring the racks at Village Thrift in Philly! I just sold my favorite ever vintage gown today actually…I’ll share in my stories.

We completely transformed the basement space at 518 Warren St. into the bo***ir of your dreams ✨ We put our blood, sweat and…actually no tears…maybe a few screams and good laughs into this space, and we can’t wait to show you the extreme before and after shots!
