Custom Stage Clothing She graduated with honors from the The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

Karen Mathews was born Elizabeth Karen Ulibarri in Denver, Colorado where she first started to design for musicians and entertainers. She now designs her own clothing line for women, constructs stage costumes and custom made to order personal attire in her Los Angeles studio. Early in her career, Karen made stage costumes for such legendary rock bands as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Peter Frampton, Ronnie James Dio, Tommy Bolin and many others. After graduating, she and two fellow graduates opened a women's and men's boutique on trendy Melrose Avenue. Oprah, Sharon Osbourne, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Kirstie Alley, Kim Basinger, Tom Cruise, David Caruso, Robert Redford as well as the Prime Minister of Japan have worn her custom clothing. Currently Karen works in the entertainment industry creating costumes for film, Emmy Award winning television shows, videos and commercials. Her resume also includes making stage costumes for KISS, Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Brian Setzer and The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Alice Cooper, The Tubes, Dave Stewart, The Dave Stewart " Rock Fabulous Orchestra" and private individuals who seek her talents. Karen's costumes have been on display at the Metropolitan Musem of Art in New York City, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio and several Hard Rock Cafe's around the world.
