A love letter to the long game 💌

I didn’t fall in love overnight.
This was a slow burn.
The kind that starts with an alarm you resent
and stretches across the whole week
without anyone handing me a bouquet.

I loved you
when progress was not progressing,
when the pace wasn’t matching the effort
and my Garmin chose violence over support,
when my legs went jelly,
but my commitment stayed solid.

You taught me
that consistency deserves applause,
that rest days deserve a standing ovation,
and that growth quietly blooms
even when no one is watching.

I’ve flirted with giving up,
with excuses,
with the idea that validation would come externally.
Real love looks like this: I had to do it myself.
And I did. Every day this week.
