Down and dirty we got!!

Last night wrapped up the 3 day Finish Strong Sewing Class and it was great!! What I truly adored the most was the conversations and I were able to have about our families, work, Halloween costumes and of course sewing.

One of the biggest values of sewing is the community and the friendships you can build because of it.

What joys do you get from sewing?

Couldn’t agree more. Fashion is great but style is where the true expression comes from.

I’m not going to lie, I have a few styles 😅 but over all, I’d say I’m a casual minimalist with a slight edge.

This week's live is a !! We'll be making a scrunchie, and I figured I should give you time to get your fabric and materials incase you wanted to sew with me. 😏

To sew this scrunchie with me, you'll need:

22 x 3 1/2" piece of fabric
9" elastic (1/4", 1/2")
Matching thread
Pen w/ a clip or Safety Pin
Scissors/Snips
Pen
Ruler

I'll be going live SATURDAY - not the usual Sunday - June 26th at 2pm PST. (My stories says 12pm but I meant 2pm 😅)

There’s nothing I want more than for her to have a comfortable, strong and loving bond with you and for you to protect, empower and guide her. The older she gets, the more I’m able to see these in your relationship and it fills me with so much joy. I am grateful for all that you do for her and for us. Happy Father’s Day Love.

What energy does your hair bring? I’d describe mine as fun and carefree because I tend to favor twistouts. Who’s your best friend? As a designer and sewer, some days I feel like my best friend is my sewing machine because I spend so much time with it. But at the end of the day when I flip the switch on this machine, all I really want is to be as carefree as these girls were: pointlessly taking all the selfies and posed sleeping photos to our hearts content. This woman has taught me to care for others and has encouraged the hell out of my creativity. She is the one who set up who I am at my core and I am so grateful for that.
