California said, “Would you like to participate in democracy?” and then handed me a 9-page final exam.

Diligently researching candidates, judges, and measures felt like life or death this time around. Because it truly is. My little Foxy’s life depends on it. 🦊

(Voting Edition): California, if you’re planning to vote on the fly, bring snacks, a charger, a beverage, and perhaps a small support group because this ballot is STACKED.

And if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information, do yourself a favor: sit down at home, take your time, do your research, and fill out your ballot from the comfort of your couch before dropping it off.

(Hopefully in your case the sprinkler system won’t try and block you from the voting ballot box)! 💦

Memorial Day feels different this year.

Summertime is supposed to feel light, like freedom, salt air, long days, and my favorite version of life, but there’s a quiet ache woven into it all. It’s almost been a year since losing my dad, who also served, and this weekend always seems to carry layers of remembrance, grief, reflection, and gratitude in general now all at once.

Today feels less about the unofficial start of summer and more about holding my family tighter, honoring what’s been lost, staring at the ocean a little longer, and appreciating the life in front of me while carrying the warmth and weight of what came before me. ☀️🌊❤️

Being multi-talented is not the problem.
Being unclear about how it all connects is.

I’m not excluded from this, but most people are doing more than enough, but their brand isn’t doing the job it’s supposed to do.

Once that alignment clicks, everything gets easier:

How you show up.
How you speak about yourself.
How people understand what you do.
And most importantly—how and what opportunities come in.

Honest Experience Review of 🌟:

The branding, marketing, and overall energy had me fully convinced I was about to endure the SoulCycle of facials. Like… sweat. Burpees for the jawline. Emotional damage. A trainer yelling “ONE MORE REP” while manually contouring my face.

And while I actually did enjoy the experience, I was surprised by how gentle and relaxing it felt compared to the intensity the ads seem to promise.

This is NOT a negative observation per se, the space was beautiful, the staff was lovely, and my skin looked great after.

But I do think it’s a good reminder of how powerful branding and expectation setting really are.

Sometimes the fantasy a brand sells becomes part of the experience people expect to receive.

Curious do you prefer wellness/beauty experiences that feel relaxing… or do you actually WANT to feel like something intense happened? 😂

Quickly cleared my calendar—because when says pull up, I pull up. 💥

During my ego death I got to thinking a lot about how I actually want to live, how I want to work, what I want my career to feel like long term, not just what looks good on paper but what I’m genuinely proud of, and I’m in a phase now where I’m choosing that—on purpose.

Sometimes you need to step back, get honest, and come back when articulation makes sense. Move in the present with less noise, and a steady hand.
