EVOLYN BROOKS is an emmy-nominated and NAACP Image award-winning television and experiential event producer, journalist, and author. She is also a registered RYT 200 yoga, restorative and mindfulness teacher, reiki practitioner, herbalist and certified instructor in Y12SR: The Yoga of 12 Step Recovery. In My Solitude LA was inspired by her mother who died of breast cancer. She is also a survivor who shared her message of recovery and journey the book, “Her Name Is Cranberry: How To Turn Your Obstacles Into Increase And Peace.”

As a yoga and meditation teacher, I’ve learned that we don’t find our purpose by running faster. Sometimes, we find it by sitting still. By listening to the quiet parts of ourselves that we often ignore. In your solitude, that’s where you find strength, clarity, and truth. I’d love to see you IRL at Fabletics at The Westchester Mall in White Plains, NY on Sunday, November 17 @ 10:30am. I’ll be teaching a complimentary Slow Flow Yoga class with a beautiful Soundbath Experience.
