🪡🍭 Mihitabel. Available. One-of-a-kind handcrafted vintage dress. DM To Inquire. Seeking & curating vintage is one of our core inspirations. We recently unearthed a small collection of these vintage dresses that are truly historic. NOS {New Old Stock} handmade in the early 1970’s. Each dress is a one-off, hand dyed & handmade, also never been worn. The slides tell the story in imagery but here’s the backstory of Mihitabel by Carolyn Lee…
🧵Reflections of American Craft history: all of Mihitabel’s dresses are hand-dyed & handmade in the 1960’s & early 70’s by Carolyn Lee at her legendary Sunset Boulevard custom shop, Mihitabel. Known as ‘LA’s Queen of Tie-Dye’ Carolyn created wearable art that captivated the era’s most iconic musicians…
✂️Carolyn was a coveted tailor for artists such as The Eagles, Jim Croce, America, Bread, The Beach Boys, John Denver, Three Dog Night, Sweetwater’s Nancy Nevins & Alex Del Zoppo, who later became Carolyn’s husband. The shop opened in the 1960’s and closed in the early 70’s due to a family illness. This dress & only a handful of others were carefully stored by Zoppo, after Carolyn’s passing. For the first time in decades these original one-of-a-kind fully handmade NOS Mihitabel pieces are available. Let us know if you have questions or would like to see the other pieces. Much love.🙏🏽❤️ -R/R 🫶🏽Rainwater
